    trimmers

I have been using the wahl pocket pro trimmers to trim Maggies face. I am lookin for recommendations for something better in the same size. Just packed up the Andi's power trimmer to take it back for a refund. Is there something better out there??

I love my Laube Speed Feed trimmer w/adjusting blade. It's used daily and one every single dog I do. It's a workhorse and comes with two battery packs, charger, and clip on combs (which I don't use). They are right around $100, but sometimes you can find them on that auction site (not mentioning names) for less.

There is also the Wahl Bravera which also has an adjustable blade, however I have not used one, but know many who have and love them as well and is a little spendier.

LOL at "that auction site".  I didn't think it was wrong to just flat-out say it, but maybe you have a store there or something.  I'm waiting to find a really good deal on a Romani clippervac on there, like Tammy did.Wink

I would love a Bravura as well.  I was all ready to buy one at a trade show, and they were ALL sold out.  Grrrr!!!

Is the Speed Feed or Bravera small like a Peanut? I'm looking for something with a bit more "oomph" to shave Ena with. I need a very narrow blade, though, to do her face. My Peanut/Tidbit/whatever they call it this year says it's a #30 blade, but it cuts much closer than my Andis #30 blades. I would *love* to have something cordless that I can use at the shop, or at shows. My friend has a $250 human clipper that she uses on her cresteds, and it's great, unless you're trying to cut a dog with actual hair. I don't have that much money to spend on a clipper that I can't use at work.

The Speed Feed is a medium sized, very lightweight trimmer with an adjustable blade which cuts from a 9 down to a 40. It never gets hot and is great for doing very close clipper work. It's not as narrow as the Tid-Bit however, but is more narrow than a regular clipper blade. I use mine every day, on every dog, but especially like it for doing Poo face's and feet's. It's also great for doing sani's since it doesn't heat up. I don't know what I'd do without it.

The Wahl Bravura is a similar trimmer to the Speed Feed, but can be used corded or cordless.

Thanks, kennel keeper. That actually sounds like it would be fine. If it's even a little narrower.... a regular clipper is just clunky for a toy face. And not heating up? A HUGE plus.
