What is this??? (BlackLabbie)

I was looking at Apollo laying down...and I noticed something, looks kind of like a scab, feels like a callus or thick scab. It doesn't both him one bit, he hasn't licked or itched it, and it's not red or funny smelling.
He has some scars from a possible dog fight from before I got him, right near the area in question.

pressure sore? Is it someplace on his body that contacts the ground or rubs against another body part when he is laying down?

It's right above his foot, so I don't think it rubs against any part of his body, but that area does touch the ground when he lays down. But he only lays down on soft areas.....

River had a couple of similiar calus like bumps from his crate - laying in it without a bed. Up until he was 3 we couldn't put anything down on his crate floor because he would chew it and eat it. Now he has a bed and they have gone away. I think its a pressure bump.

I thought it might be one too...except he doesn't lay on anything hard. He has 2 dog beds, and our house is wall to wall carpet. He isn't crated ever either. When I got him he had large calluses on his elbows from laying down on hard sufaces, but since we got got him they've been shrinking and getting softer.
