burping and vomiting bile in AM

Misty has been burping here and there, and yesterday and the day before, she vomited bile in the morning.  She had done this before, but then we started feeding her later in the day and it got better.  I recently switched her from Eagle Pack Lamb/Rice to the EP Chicken formula (like 10 days ago) and she seemed to like it fine and has had small, firm poo while eating it. (moreso even than the lamb)  She ate it rather enthusiastically at first, but now she isn't eating as much as before.  She hasn't decreased her intake that much, but she's not cleaning her bowl either.  I just offered her some kibble in my hand and she turned her nose up at it.

Her symptoms to me, almost mimick my own reflux problem.  I am wondering if that's what the problem is.  She is drinking and playing just like normal.  The only other thing I could think was, we had gotten a case of dog biscuits (Eagle Pack) and they were in the garage for a few weeks, which had gotten hot at one point.  But I didn't give her any biscuits yesterday, just in case they were the offenders, and she is still acting like she has some tummy issues today.

I guess if she does it again tomorrow, I'll take her for a vet visit.  I took her another time when she vomited bile, and was told she was fine...so I hate spending the money, only to feel like an idiot.

How often does she get fed?  I know that some dogs feel a little sick to their stomach when they've been empty for very long.  Maybe try splitting up her food and/or giving her treats throughout the day?  Just a suggestion.  Could be totally wrong!  ;)

we were giving her dinner later...like 8pm, but lately things have been out of whack.  I did give her a Kong stuffed full of canned food last night and she was still sick to her tummy this morning.  She burps, and has bad breath. I really think it's reflux or a reaction to the chicken in the food.  I called the vet and we're trying some special food for a day or so to see how she does.

Awww, poor girl. I don't really know what else to tell you besides what you're already thinking.  I hope you figure out what's going on with her soon.  Let us know!  :)

I hope she feels better soon! Have you talked to the Vet about the possible mild use of Pepto or a similar upset tummy med?? When Judge's stomach is upset we give him pepto until he gets over it :)

Also, not to frighten you at all and I'm sure that it won't happen, but just as a precaution I think you should know that persistent 'burping' and mild vomiting of bile for a few (or more) days is often a "gee I wish I'd paid more attention" symptom when dogs are brought in to the Vets with Bloat. I would be keep an eye on that tummy, make sure she doesn't exercise hard directly before or after eating or drinking, and if her belly seems to swell at all and she appears uncomfortable get her to the Vets right away.......
