I recently got into a discussion regarding how common garden plants can be dangerous to dogs. I've never given it much thought. My dogs do not get into my plants for destroy things in my yard. I did a quick search on the topic and it appears there is NOTHING I could put in my yard if I wanted to be fussy about this.
My niece is COMPLETLEY paranoid about this issue. Can anyone tell me about how much of some plants a dog would have to eat for it to be harmful? I am thinking right now about Rhododendron and Azalea. I also have Clematis, Bleeding Heart, Hosta........... You name it, I have it in my gardens.
Should I be concerned about this, or should my niece lighten up? Her dog IS a chewer, but does not spend a lot of time outdoors unsupervised. Where should one draw the line?
