Grapefruit Seed Extract for dogs?

I've taken it as natural antibiotics and to fight off illness and I came across an article on how it kills bacteria and parasites (including giardia). Just wondering if it's something that could be given to dogs occasionally to help them fight off this stuff. No, I'm not giving Rory any, just looking for info. • calliecritturs Posted : 12/3/2007 8:17:52 AM GrapeFRUIT seed extract is fine -- usually don't give it longer than 2-3 weeks and then give the body a break from it (according to my holistic vet).  But I gotta make a HUGE POINT HERE for those who don't read carefully. grapeFRUIT seed is fine.  (big yellow citrus fruit) grape seed IS NOT  (seeds of grapes) -- you see that on the shelves too for immune health -- NOT for dogs - it can shut down their renal system fast (worse than giving grapes) So if folks can remember grapefruit seed (that comes from the citrus) is good - it's an anti-fungal too ..sort of similar to how a probiotic works. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
