Sunday nite (9:25 p.m) when we got home while I was in his "favorite dedicated human room" ... a/k/a the bathroom ... he came and leaned his backend against me and shoved his forehead into my purse against the wall. It was the loudest plea for a backrub I've ever seen.
So "we" went into the living room (shoot, I can sit and think in there ANY time ... this was important!!) and I got him up on the futon and did both his neck (I keep getting the feeling he has a headache along with everything else) right behind the skull AND the entire low back. My hands gave out before he was ready for me to, but he's absolutely crashed next to David.
HOWEVER ... when we came home earlier he came up to me and put his front feet up on my knee -- he hasn't done that in several days. THAT indicates to me the back feels at least a bit better. He's not turning cartwheels but I'm not quite as worried as I was yesterday morning.
He also seems generally a bit 'happier' -- yes the tail has wagged pretty much all weekend but he's definitely feeling a bit better. Surely not 'all better' but maybe it's a result of the extra milk thistle (which could bring down the liver enzymes). OR ... **maybe** it is an infection and the antibiotic is finally beginning to have some effect. I mean shoot, I've had infections before and the 2nd and 3rd day i felt WORSE rather than better until it began to kick in.
