    Spay

Daisy got spayed today and I am wondering if anyone could tell me what should I pay more attention when she gets home? I really miss her and hope it went well. I am going to call in about an hour to see how is she doing. Thanks

I was told to keep Roxy quiet (no jumping up on furniture and running up and down stairs) after her spay.  Roxy never bothered her stitches, so she didn't have to wear an e-collar, but since then I have heard absolute horror stories about what will happen should she decide to remove her stiches so if I had to do it over again, I would make her wear the e-collar when we were at work...but, then maybe I am overreacting!

I just went to pick her up today. She had a rough night at the vet I am sure. The bigger dogs at the vet made her nervous and she started to get aggressive toward people. ( besides me and my boyfriend )Poor girl! [:(] She is not active as usual but she is walking around a little bit in the house. I try to sit on the floor so she would not jump on couch and using the doggie steps makes easier for her. The vet told us not to feed her too much (1/2 of amount) and I will do so. She tries to lick her stitches and thats I am worried about. I am staying at home with her everyday till she gets her stitches removed by the vet in about 7-10 days. I am happy that she is home.

I'm glad that she is home and that you will get to be with her while she heals.  She'll be her old self in no time...

I got an e-collar from the vet this morning and put it on daisy. She doesnt like it and acts like she is not happy with me. She stays in her doghouse and looks sad. Should I keep e-collar on her until she is all recover or can I take it off from her once a while? The e-collar doesnt look like very comfortable though.

I think you can take it off for a while, especially for eating, since she'll be preoccupied.  But if she really doesn't like it, getting it back on may be tough.  Save some tasty treats for teh putting on process.  :)
