    "seasons" after spay??

do dogs continue to have seasons after spay?  i obviously know they can't breed anymore, but sometimes tek seems particularly interested in rosie's "girl parts.."- as in he follows her butt around with his nose in it all day and acts all weird towards her and ultimately ends up trying to mount her, which we put a stop to because his penis gets fully extended.[&:]  he's neutered.

    just curious.

No, they don't. You completely (hopefully) move the uterus and ovaries so there is no more hormone production, and no more cycles.

If your dog does have heat cycles (with bleeding etc.) then something got left behind.

no bleeding or anything like that... i wonder why he gets a bug up his butt about her sometimes....[>:]

it could also just be the anal glands...it is pretty difficult to leave and ovaries in during surgery....but there have been cases where one of the ovary is ion t3wo parts and one part maybe left  in because there is no way of knowing that has happened...might be good to get the anal glands squeezed out just for kicks

He could also just smell something "in the air" and assume it's her. Not having experience he might just make a mistake like that [;)]
