Long story
My Kelpie was dexesed in November 2005 , in the beginning she was not having proper heats, I was going to let her have one heat and than get her spayed but before I could she was on heat a couple of weeks later and in between these two heats she was still kind of swollen so I took her to the vet to see what was going on and vet said it was best to spay her straight away as that is a sign of ealry cancer , So she was spayed but now the the male dogs I have every so many weeks are trying to mate with her, sniff her, lick her just has if she is cycling again.
I have heard that female dogs do still cycle but with out the bleeding and that male dogs can still smell the female feramones, has anyone else heard this.
It doesn't seem normal for this to keep happening. She is nearly two years old now, I have never had this happen with any of the female dogs I have had and have always had them spayed after their first heat.
