Corneal debridement for ulcer

Hi, I took my dog to the vet a couple of weeks ago because she was squinting and her eye was tearing. She was diagnosed w/a corneal ulcer. At her checkup a week later, the ulcer was still present but looked a little smaller. The vet said she may have an indolent (slow-healing) ulcer. She needs to go back in a few days for a checkup. I am sure it will still be present because she is still squinting. (We've been giving her atropine for discomfort and triple antibiotic ointment). The vet said if the ulcer is still there they may have to do a corneal debridement, which consists of giving her a topical anesthetic and a minor sedative. They will then need to use a scalpel to do a grid on the cornea.  This is supposed to aid in the healing.

Has anyone had this problem w/their dogs? Do you know what the fee for something like this is?

She had a corneal ulcer before due to stray eyelash growing inward and it healed within 5 days. The vet ruled out the eyelash in this case. Thanks
