    front foot brace

hi: where can i find a front foot brace/splint to keep her foot from curling back on itself? we manipulate it, but feel she needs some kind of brace or splint to keep it straight when we are not able to flex it for her. still no feeling in her left front leg, it has been close to three months since her injury.

    thank you

I made one out of a wrist brace once. I don't know how big her leg or foot is but you can try using a wrist brace that has a bent rod in it or you can just try to bandage the entire leg to see if that helps.
Your vet's office should have a splint you can use. I would not use it too much since it has a tendency to make the muscles weak and her not wanting to use the leg at all. But, have you thought of aqua therapy? To help strengthen her muscles.

Yeah, I would say just ckeck with a vet to start off with. I know my vet will often tell people where they can go to get stuff like that or order what ther looking for. Also some feed stors have splints for dog or something similar.

Thankyou every one. Sallie left this morning for a trip to Canada with my wife. She will be checking in with the vet up there who treated her when she was hit.

    Thanks again!!

i went to the junk store (like to go there anyway) and found a 'spaghetti fork?" which works pretty good. her paw sits in the cup part, and with some cotton and vet wrap makes a pretty good temp splint, at least it keeps the top of her paw from being abraded by the cement.

ask your vet if he/she thinks it is radial paralysis?????
