    She won't walk on paw?

My collie Fly has a cut on one of her front paw pads. It didn't look too bad at first, it wasn't bleeding at all and didn't look deep- but four days later she's still constantly licking it and won't walk on it. I've been cutting down her walks and trying to keep it clean- does anyone have any suggestions? Is my dog a hypochondriac? [;)]

I can't say if your dog's a hypochondriac or not, but my one lab is the same way.  If she has the slightest sore on her paws, she'll limp for days.  I used to worry and think I was missing somethng, but I realize now that she's just....well, shall we say "sensitive" [;)].  If you're fairly certain the sore is healing, there's no infection, etc., then it'll probably be fine in a few more days.  If the limping continues beyond a few days though, you might want to get a checkup at the vets to rule out anything more serious.

might be good to  put  a fair amount of neomycine ointment  on it and wrap it with an ace bandage,,,,not too tight....too allow it to heal without  getting any infection in it....licking is really no helpful to healing.....
