Caroline Goldman Posted : 11/14/2006 12:48:47 PM Hi all!   I'm a writer/dog human doing some research on people who have used emergency first-aid for dog injuries and am looking for some good stories. If anyone has a story about how they were able to help their dog (sometimes just long enough to get him/her to the vet), I'd love to hear about it!   Thanks! • spiritdogs Posted : 11/15/2006 11:44:38 PM Back in the 1970's, I had a dog cut his paw so badly that a tendon was visible.  I had nothing available but a track bandage (for horses), and a folded cloth handkerchief that someone gave me, so that's what I bandaged him with.  The vet said that I did a neat job (all that practice on the ponies LOL)...the bandage was just tight enough to stop the bleeding, and not so tight as to cut off circulation. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
