flakey outside of ear

• flakey outside of ear Lisa Miller Posted : 7/17/2006 1:40:05 PM My otherwise perfectly healthy, 5 yo, male, black lab (with the exception of an occasional ear infection) has recently aquired flakey skin on the outside of his ear. WHAT IS THAT?[&:] We have givien him dermcap all his life, he gets no people food, has been eating same Eagle brand dog food, gets regular grooming etc etc...is it mange mites? • Melaney B. Posted : 7/17/2006 1:49:11 PM Hi, I wouldn't worry about that! it's just dry skin and can be treated with the right shampoo. I would suggest oatmeal shampoo and make sure to really massage the ears.
