Red Spots and Hair Loss

• Red Spots and Hair Loss Rachel Steele Posted : 7/16/2006 6:13:09 PM I found a white boxer puppy a few months ago. She had a few red spots on her then. I have been putting sulphur solution for hot spots on it. We moved last week and they have gotten real bad. They now have red bumps in the middle of them and they are starting to bleed. She looks really gross. I really like her, but I can't afford anything expensive. Does anyone know what this might be and a cheap cure? Oh, and how long will it take until she looks better? • jessies_mom Posted : 7/16/2006 6:50:18 PM   Hi and welcome to idog; I think you need to take this dog to a vet; it sounds like the red spots, which were probably either a contact allergy or mange caused by mites,  have turned into a nasty infection. There are vets who will work out payment plans if you explain your situation to them; you could call some in your area and see if any would be willing to do that and take her to them.  lease don't waste time with any more store bought remedies; they won't help with something like this. If you really like her then do the right thing and get her to a vet before the infection gets worse.
