    diarrhea help ASAP!!

Ok, here is our situation ....
    I am in early labor & I have a sick dog[&:]
He has had diarrhea since Tues., uncontrollable & hits suddenly.
He has had accidents in the house since it started. Its very runny, dark brown & orangey colored. There is some blood after he has went several times.
He hasnt ate anything or been exposed to anything outside. He is always on a leash.
He is drinking good & acting normal otherwise. He didnt eat very much for a couple days before this started & still isnt.
Only change is he has been staying on the back porch more & was bee stung over a week ago??
    ANy ideas?!?
I called the vet & they want me to bring him in to stay since I am in early labor & its Friday. Should I hold off & do something at home until Monday?
My parents will be staying here with him if I am at the hospital.[sm=uhoh.gif]

If this has been going on since Tuesday I would say he needs to see a vet now.  Waiting until Monday could be too long.  I understand your situation but the dog may not make it until then based on what your describing.

    How old is he?

Please don't wait...take this pup to the vet NOW.

I completely agree, he needs to get to a vet. What a tought situation to be in. It may actually be less stressful to you, knowing he's at the vet and getting whatever it is taken care of.

The other thing is, dogs are attuned to us and extremely sensitive to change. The changes in your body and aura, along with changes around the house and in his schedule could have him stressed to the point of making him sick.

Ok, thanks guys for your quick response.
DH is on his way home & we will take him to the vet.
I am tired from dealing with Kobe the past 2 nights ... plus I am overdue & having on & off contractions.
He is my baby so I dont want to be worried about him & away giving birth. He will be well taken care of by his vet[;)]

Good luck on your dog and your new baby!
You are making the right decision, the dog must be taken care of and you need to not have to worry about him while you are having a baby!
I wish you load of luck!
Please come back and update us on your outcome!

Good luck with labor, can't wait to see some pictures.

FWIW--I'd do the same your doing, put her at the vet if I was in your situation.
