I just wanted to add for kennysmom that I took Sister to the vet many times and bought EVERYTHING to bathe her in and spray her with for at least a year. It was expensive. Nothing really worked until I tried the thyroid med. Now she is fine, coat and itch-wise. I give her her thyroid med every day and wash her in Selsun Blue twice a month. I let her soak in it for 30 minutes before rinsing it out. I hope this can help Kenny.
