    HUGE Tick Problem

I live in Puerto Rico, where it is hot and humid and ticks are as common here as rats in a New York alley. and i think even worse. My landlords pup has got a ton of ticks, and she bathed and picked some off them off a while ago and ive noticed my mom golden has quite a few ticks and ive found two or three on my pup!

I was wondering if the stuff an exterminator uses for roaches would kill the ticks? I need some solutions fast, especially something cheap and simple for my landlord because shes not big on spending money
    Please help!

I would not use anything on a dog that was not designed and tested to be used on a dog. I don't know what they sell in your area as far as dog products but whatever it is use that instead of something off the self in a hardwear store.

You could use that stuff around your house to prevent the ticks from living in your yard, but even that could rub off onto the dogs and could cause some serious skin allergies. The best, if you can find it, is a spay that is sold with pet supplies the spay around he home to kill the ticks before they get on your dog. At the same time try to find something made for a dog to kill the tick already there. You may just have to pick them off by hand.

I don't know how else to do that without spending money on the right kind of medicine for the dog. I hope that helps a little.

Try to find food grade Diatomaceous Earth.  You can sprinkle it onto your pet food and also rub it on their coat, sprinkle it on their bedding, your carpet, your yard, etc.  It will not harm them or you. [linkhttp://www.zetatalk.com/food/tfoox041.htm]http://www.zetatalk.com/food/tfoox041.htm[/link]
