    Chicken Wings Trouble??

    Hi!

I've been adding some raw wings to the boys diets over the past week.  They've been getting a wing at a time after dinner as a treat.

Last night Tux had his and then stole 2 and they weren't properly chewed.

Today he's had wet loose accidents all over the house and then threw up his breakfast.  However, he's fairly energetic considering the heat and he doesn't seem lethargic and he ate all his dinner...

Would the wings cause a blockage?  Or could it be the heat?  (We didn't have our air on today...)  His stomach is soft and there's been no blood.

I'm terrified that I've made him sick.....

Have you been giving them chicken along and you just started giving them the wings? The reason I ask sometimes when witching foods like this and since he had two extra ones it might have been to much and that is the reason for his stool to look that.

That's what I'm hoping happened - that it was just too much.  I wasn't feeding chicken - I just started adding the wings this week and they've only ever had 1 at a time.

As long as he's still pooping then there's no blockage correct??  He's drinking and just had another runny poop.

If he had his dinner plus 3 wings (right?) that may have just been too much food.  From what I understand as long as hes pooping he shouldnt have a blockage, not sure tho.

Of course while you wait you can use the yogurt and pumpkin to settle his tummy.  I hope he feels better soon!

If it is a blockage then more then likely there would be blood mixed with his stool. But if he is eating and doing his normal routine, then he should be fine. But I would keep watch on him. I would do like loveukaykay suggested with yogurt and pumpkin.

Thanks!!  I'll give him some yogurt and if it doesn't slow down I'll fast him tomorrow morning... Poor guy.

    Thanks again everyone!!

Seriously ... thank you.  I was terribly worried - he hasn't been this sick in a LONG time!

I really appreciate everyone taking the time to write.  Thanks! [:D]

Weird you should post this!  Just this past weekend I learned of a Dobe who had been having some allergy reactions.  Someone recommended chicken wings.  It turns out, the Dobe somehow developed an alergy to chicken??  Sounds bizarre, but they did the scratch test on him and it turned out chicken was one of the causes.  Only came about after eating the chicken wings??  Caused the loose stool, etc.
