    My dog keeps vomiting

My dog has been vomiting a bright yellow substance practically everyday for 2 weeks. I thought it was because we were feeding him different food. So we switched back to the old food and he didnt vomit for 3 days. But he just vomitted again this morning. Other than that...he has been acting normal. should we be concerned?

While that sounds like it *might* be bile from an empty tummy, I'd be concerned enough to get this little one to the vet, as soon as possible.

I'm in total agreement with Glenda.  I'd have the vet check things out.  If for nothing else, but your own piece of mind.

Thank you so much for your replies. I just called the vet and scheduled an appointment. hopefully he's ok.

Yep, I think you know that answer...you came here to ask because you truely are concerned, I think you need to find out.
Good luck!  Please let us know what turns up!

Good luck with your doggy, i hope everything turns out ok. I have some advice to give if that's ok. If you feel like there's something seriously wrong with him make sure you let your vet know. Tell him how worried you are and have them check him over extremely well. Your dog will be in my thoughts and prayers! Good luck.

good news!! we just got back from the vet and it turns out that Tubby just has a case of a sensitive tummy. we'll just have to watch what he eats and stick to food that he's used to. but for now, the vet said we can give him half a tablet of Pepcid AC before bedtime and can also try feeding him something bland until his tummy is back to normal again. Thank you for all your help and concern. you guys are great! we wish you all the best. thanks again!

I'm so glad its nothing serious.  I hope Tubby feels better soon.

I'm glad it doesn't seem to be anything serious!  We all care so much for our pupsters!  I just want to ask how often he is fed...if once/day, you might try feeding twice.  A snack before bedtime could help also.  So-o glad you took him to the Vet...takes a lot of the worry off!

we feed Tubby twice a day. once in the morning and once at night. not including the treats he gets when we play. hehe. thank you for your concern and advice!

    Jenn,
Do you have an eskie?  I have an eskie with a strange stomach problem too.  It sounds like you are catching it in a much earlier stage than we did.  We've gotten it under control now, but I hope we can exchange thoughts.  Wrigley had a really bad few months last year vomiting blood and feeling really sick until we finally got it all figured out.

I am glad it's nothing serious!!

    Eskiemom,

I do have an eskie but it's my pomeranian which is having the stomach problems. Although Taz, my eskie (9 months old), did vomit for a few days a month ago. In his case, it was because he was drinking water too quickly and eating fluff from his toys. So we stopped giving him toys with fluff in it and monitored his water intake. Ever since then, he hasn't vomitted. Did your vet diagnose Wrigley with anything? or did they just say that it's food allergies?

    Thank goodness!
