Its been awhile but things are looking good

Hi guys its been a couple Months since updating on Alley.... She is doing GREAT... Knock on wood. Im afraid to post that I will jinks her....

She saw the specialist yesterday and here is what we are doing and were we are at....
Im to use are Malaseb pledgets. Im to wipe her paws and under her armpits am and pm....  I put booties on so she won't lick the stuff off. I leave them on for about an hour... The reason for the Malaseb wipes is because she is showing bacterial infection in these areas and the antibotics aren't taking care of it prbably cause she licks non stop in those areas and keeps it moist....

Im to continue with the benzoyl plus shampoo and she will be done with Ivermectin Feb 1st. In his notes he said this is the BEST Alley has ever looked but I bet the girls wrote that cause they have seen Alley since she was a puppy and I agree this is the BEST she has EVER LOOKED... Im talking pretty normal :) all over except her paws and armpits. Im trying to keep a tee shirt on her so she can't reach those areas. So the "Immune Rush Therapy" really did help her.... She is to continue her Allergy shots every two weeks.... So far so good....One thing I know that helps is its been cold and alot of snow.... I still lurk and keep an eye on all of your puppers but I don't post unless I have some sort of good advice cause their are alot of good people on here that know there stuff... So I continue to learn.. Right now IM dealing with my Westie who has a problem with her left anal gland and its becoming a big problem and the antibotics we have tried on her aren't working..... that is one tricky area to get cleared up. Im thinking they are going to want to remove it....What next I ask myself.... LOL

Kim - I know exactly what you mean.  I'm so happy to hear that Alley is doing well though.  I hope it continues even when the weather finally turns nicer.  We've been pretty darn cold here, but not enough to keep some things from growing/blooming.  We're going to break a 100 y.o. record for no rain in the month of January unless something comes thru in the next 6 days, and there's nothing on the way yet - ugh!

Kim, if any one deserves a break it's you and Allie; I'm so happy that she's finally doing much better.  [sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif] I hope your Westie won't need the surgery; good luck with that.

I posted his problems on another thread called  "Tummy Troubles" Iv got to get to the bottom of this .....Its gone on way to long.....
I have another Scottie Max... and he has IBD ....but I have his under control.

I ask myself how did I end up with so many doggie issues???

I live at the Vet clinic.... if its not one its the other that is getting a pill for something.... :) If I had a job I don't know what these guys would do... cause they are my full time job...
