Usually the yearly vet visit will include a fecal (well, not include as in free but they typicaly do one then). If you time that so that you are doing the fecal towards the end of the untreated period, you can see whether your current program is effective.
Worming, whether you do it with a seperate med or whether you do it with your HW meds, kills what is there, rather than being a preventative. So unless your dog is immune suppressed, young, very old, or has a chronic illness, it won't harm your dog to wait and see.
Oh, I just noticed you were sort of asking about the raw. Dogs don't get any of the gi worms from raw meat - that is, nothing that can be treated with regular worming meds. You can get flukes from sheep liver, I THINK, but that's really rare and I'm fairly sure Interceptor (Sentinel) treats them. I know Ivomec (Hartguard) does.
