Well Iv got a Rabbit cooking and its done... time to clean it and all the dogs will be sitting there drooling.... They love the inter parts the most....even our cat comes running and meowing....LOL

Oh a light note cause it such a special time of year I will leave this thread with this....
What a JOYOUS time of year.... I want to wish you all a very Happy Easter.... The meaning of this time of year gives us so much to celebrate!!! IM blessed to have two things to celebrate in my life.... Im sure you all get tired of me and my story but it was one of the biggest events and special events in my life that I will never ever forget.....Even when this time of year rolls around I can feel it like it was yesterday..... I play it in my mind every year. I tell Zoey the story too. She is such a good listener...LOL She sits there with those big brown eyes and listens to me. This is the exact same weekend date that I rescued all the Westies from the Hell HOLE... I started on Good Friday and got the rest on Saturday and they were all free for Easter and ready to start there new lives. As you may know my Zoey came from that group. She was pregnant and lost all her puppies on April 29th which is hubby's birthday. I decided to foster her and well................................. she became ours the moment I set eyes on her again.  [linkhttp://www.westierescueofmissouri.com/rescue.htm]Rescue Angels[/link]  All in all I wish everyone the very best and may more be as lucky as the ones I got to save!!!! Never turn your head in those in need. What may look like a hopeless situation is worth trying to turn it around and make and effort. I was lucky.... darn lucky.....but had I saw the situation and never tried.... were in the world would those dear souls be today? I can't bare the thoughts............................. Happy Easter everyone.....PAW HUGGERS TO YOU ALLKim and the Gang from the White House!

First off, trust ME, there is no "we" here, only you.  I'm going to clarify what I meant since obviously there was some misunderstanding.
    ...
Nope, but what I did mean is he's making people think it's such a wonderful food and charging a lot for it, when it's not.   They aren't the only ones though, quite a few brands do the same thing.
    ...
As far as me using the word "genious",  those were direct quotes from the Abady site.  I used them as an example as to what I meant when I said he was condescending.
    ...
And, now I'm done with yet another Abady discussion that wasn't really what this thread was about in the first place.

The WE was for anyone who found humor in the fact you can#%92t spell genius…I even highlighted in red…nevermind.

I don#%92t think it is a wonderful food, I know it is a wonderful food.   Some may feel it is too expensive or overpriced, but there are many like myself who happen to feel you get what you pay for.  Your feed, whatever it may be, would cost just about the same as mine if it could deliver the same.  If cost is an issue, you will have to settle for something that delivers less.  Not more than 1% fiber, and less than 32% carbs, 87.7% of the protein animal source, 650 cals per cup is going to cost you accordingly…and may just help prevent nasty colors going across ones tummy.

I don#%92t mind standing alone.  I tried to help someone with a suggestion that tried everything else.  It was a mistake.  There is NO sense in trying to offer suggestions.  I should have never bothered and sorry I did.  Say someone has a problem where you think a food might help, those opposed to food have to come in and start BASHING and criticizing (yet never actually trying the stuff) and turn the thread into a negative direction.   People just love to bash Abady and his products.  And not the Abady people being rude either, it is the Anti-Abady crowd being the ones attacking and getting rude and defensive.  Abady feeders always get the bad rap?  Somebody new comes in feeding say Purina, and people have to automatically start up with its garbage and crap and making them feel bad?    You see it a lot, people having to get defensive about certain topics.  Take the Abady thing for instance, people automatically have to bash yet probably never tried the feed.  Seems like some people really get upset when talking about it as if something is making them overly compassionate, almost as if they were jealous or envious.  Why do they get so upset?   This thread was about somebody frustrated and I mistakenly offered what I believe to be a helpful suggestion.  The advice is not welcome and I didn#%92t mention it any further to that person. End of story.  C YA

Personally Charlie, I feel that I started this by saying "oh no, not another Abady conversation lol lol!"  So let me say I'm sorry!   And please understand it had NOTHING to do with Abady, but only the fact that Abady conversations on this forum brings trouble.   ;Perhaps it put you on the defense right away!   That being said,  I just went back and reread the whole conversation, and while you are saying you want to help someone  with a problem, it looks like you are "selling" Abady. I think that is the same thing that everyone that comes on this forum that feeds Abady does.  Your right, people get bashed for using Purina and many other foods also, but the difference is that they usually don't say much more, where the Abady people seem to keep "pushing" the food.  I'm sure terriorlover appreciates your suggestion, and I'm sorry that you feel that you tried to help but no one wants to listen. Believe me, I feed Eagle Pack and probably think the same of it that you do for your Abady, and I haven't turned anyones opinion around to feed Eagle Pack either.

I rarely make spelling errors or any mistakes in my posts yet never find it necessary to boost myself by pointing out anyone elses.

Trust me, we can all tell you are not genius he is…lol

    However, is that English???

I think I need a break from this forum for a bit.

    Willowchow,
I am sorry, very rarely would I point out a spelling error.  I didn't even want to mention it so I started by highlighted those words in a quote as a game to see if anyone would notice.  Knocking the genius and spelling the word incorrectly at the same time I thought was kinda cute.  Sorry again, and you're right, looking at my sentence it doesn't make sense either without a "the” in front genius.

    Dyan,
Thanks but not your fault, you didn't start anything w/negativity.  I didn't mean to sound like I was trying to sell her something, but I know it could be construed that way.  I should have learned my lesson a few years ago and just kept my mouth shut!

    Kim,
My wife has bought some books on Feng Shi.  I understand what you trying to convey with the wind/energy thing.  Position of the dog food bowl may be of some interest to you as far as getting the energy.  Just like risers in your steps…risers block the wind from passing through the steps blocking energy flow.  If your dog food bowls is say up against a wall, you may do better with "flow” if they were in a more open area?

Sorry to but in, my dog doesn't have these terrible allergies, I have been reading my head off looking for information about heartworms and I am not finding exactly what I am looking for but possibly you can benefit from one website I found but actually I am having trouble understanding everything on it plus all their instructions.  They talk about itchy skin, allergies, all kinds of problems for dog's skin incl fleas, mites, and more.  I read last night until I was nearly blind.  They really push raw garlic, ginger, horseradish, applecider vinegar into a strange mixture.  I will have to re-read it myself.  It's at some earthclinic place.... oh yeah and chlorella..   They talk about treating people but include sections for dogs and cats.  Maybe you can understand what these guys are doing.  :)  Jules

    What is the website?
    • Gold Top Dog
Well, I found it pretty late at night, and haven't read it all yet.  But here it is:  [linkhttp://www.earthclinic.org]www.earthclinic.org[/link]
I'm not sure at all if it will help, I can't vouch for the sources, I am really new to all this stuff I was actually looking for info on a totally diff subject so it may be a wild goose chase.  They talked about testing your dog's urine first thing in the a.m. and ideal ph they say is between  6.2 and 6.5.   If it is 7.5 or higher, it is too alkaline.
I ran into this stuff when I googled "low ph mammals" and also some other related phrases.  I dunno, I have a massive headache so if I am way way wrong I'm sorry.  Reading the thread I am fearful of posting in such heated discussion :)  I feel like a 'hayseed' wandering into the mensa convention lol.
    Love to all....Jules

One of the probs I'm having, is I do not understand the recipes included on that site.  One part of this, one part that, measure by vol not by weight.  I know what they mean, I just don't have any idea how to mix that stuff I would try it on myself first but I don't have itchy hot spots or allergies at the moment.  :)  I'm so very lost.

Oh wow, that looks like a really neat website!  Vinegar!  HHHmmm!  I have a two page (at least) list of all the good things to do with apple cider vinegar!  I can't wait to read this one, but its almost 11 and my Easter company just left and I cleaned up the kitchen....I'm really tired, just came on to unwind a bit.    Thanks for the link..hopefully something good in it!

Y/v/w I really hope you can use at least something out of it, sounds like you could use a break :) Jules

Terriorlover, have you tried Atopica?  It's a relatively new cyclosporine product out now by prescription.  We use this on our dog who is allergic to everything in her environment and it works pretty well.  It's not a steroid so it's not as bad as pred is.  It IS an immunosuppressant but not in the same way that steroids are.  This drug, according to my vet, suppresses only part of the immune system so that it's not a total suppression.  Does that make sense?

    Here is their website:

    Hi Leslie..

Yip we used Atopica... and then if you look at the side affects UTI's and foul urine was what we got.....
It worked GREAT at first... but after awhile it no longer did.... and then we were dealt with ER visits on Sundays with UTI's...

Why does everything happen on the weekends? LOL

Thanks for the suggestion ..but again...been there done that too ...
