Luxating Patella: knee brace..Help pls

I have a friend whose dog has a luxating patella and a condition which makes it dangerous for him to undergo anesthesia (liver damage from valley fever) thus surgery is not a safe option. She is trying to find an alternative to treating her pup to keep him relatively painfree. Several months ago I thought I read about a knee brace for dogs that could help with this condition. I honestly, have no idea who it was who posted that info. If any of you know about the brace or can give me any info I would greatly appreciate it.

I couldn't find that thread, but she had a min pinscher. She used K-9 orthotics.

Brenda isn't here any more, but she is the one you want to talk to. She had one dog go through the surgery and one who ended up only needing a brace.
