    Soothing shampoo

I'd like to bathe Jack's underbelly and legs in a soothing shampoo - he has mild contact allergies in the spring and his tummy is a bit irritated. In addition to keeping the area clean so the allergens can't build up, I'd like it to soothe his skin as well. I'm thinking an oatmeal shampoo, but are there medicated products that would work better? I can't bathe him completely on a regular basis because getting a 100 lb. dog washed in the tub and dried is an all day affair, but I'd like to get his underside - is once a week good or too often?

Eevee gets bathed once a month. Any more often than that and her skin dries out.

I use an oatmeal and tea tree oil shampoo for her and it works really well. I would try that and if it doesn't work try the medicated stuff. >^^;<

I use Earthbath Organics tearless, hypoallergenic shampoo for almost daily baths on Emma. She's much smaller than Jack, so I bathe her whole body in it. It helps a LOT with the contact allergies, and it's not too expensive. It's about $10 a bottle, and it takes months to use up the bottle, using a quarter sized blob of shampoo a day.
