    new pup

We know for sure that something that we sprayed on the floor to clean up a doggie mess could cause an alergic reaction. So i am kinda hoping that is what its from. My fiance seems to think the our boxer is alergic to our new dane. How possible is this. We have had her almost a week and our boxer just got swollen yesterday. The vet said if it doens't go away they will do more tests. I had to fight with him to get the dog i wanted and i hope he is not trying to just get rid of her. The breeder said she would take her back if anything happened where we couldn't keep her so at least we know she would go to a good home.

    Thanks for any ideas

I don't know................I am not thinking your dog is allergic to your other one. Honestly!  First of all,,,if you had the new dog a whole week and it all of a sudden swelled up...that alone makes it seem likely to not be a new dog.
Did you change food for your Boxer? OR did you get any vaccinations...or put him on heartworm treatment or  flea treatment or any new medications.   Or did you use any new chemicals in your house,,,or treat your lawn with week killers or pesticides?    I'd be looking at other possibilities myself if I were you.  And GOOD LUCK!

Welcome to idog daisydoll; I agree with Dyan that the new pup isn't likely to be allergic to your other dog. What part of her is swollen and is it possible that she could have been bitten by a spider or stung by a bee or wasp?
