Peritoneopericardial diaphragmatic herniation and secondary aspiration pneumonia, for a school paper

Hi,
I am writting a paper for my Anatomy and physiology of domesticated animals class, and am having a hard time locating any information on these two illnesses for my paper.

Some background, is the paper is written on a Case study from Veterinary Science Magazine.  It is about a puppy that was born ill.  After bottle feeding him failed and he started to have other complications he was rushed to a vet and they started making a list of problems he was having.  The breeder decided to have him put to sleep because of the cost and not able to stand the heartache of watching this little puppy suffer. A vet tech fell in love with him and offered to take him and do pay for everything he would need to survive.  So after several test he was diagnosed with secondary aspiration pneumonia and Peritoneopericardial diaphragmatic herniation.

It is a biology paper and I only have one small paragraph about the dieseases because I am having such a hard time find any good sources that are appropriate for a paper.

here is the paragraph I have written

;PPDH is a hernia that is usually more common in cats than in dogs. What is even more abnormal is that when this occurs in dogs, it normally infects the intestines and not the liver.  When PPDH affects the liver it allows the pericardium to have abdominal liquid slip into it (Dodman, 2006).  The PPDH was causing most of Troopers other immediate health issues, including those of his heart. By correcting this they may have a chance of saving his life. His other ailment, the aspiration pneumonia, was caused from Trooper regurgitating his food in turn causing inflammation in the lungs.

So I guess my question is, does anyone have any suggestions for good books and dog ailments or website?
