Why on earth would you want to be rid of the frito feet smell???
I may be nutso but I just love the smell, could sniff them feeties 24/7. 2 of my 5 have what we call popcorn feet and someone here is always a-sniffin them, smell good enough to eat.
Doesn't anyone else here like the smell or I am left standing(sniffin) alone[]

I absolutey LOVE the way Baileys paws smell. With Kayla, I used to smush her paw on my nose and sniff real big, lol. I dont think either of them are the smell of Fritos, per se, but just a salty smell. And your not alone... glad to see Im not either.

My absolute favorite smell in the world was the inside of Kaylas ears. I smelled her ears about a million times a day. Baileys didnt smell much when we first got her but they are beginning to smell a lot like Kaylas did. Kaylas eyes used to have a wonderful smell too, Baileys dont smell like anything tho. I dont know how to describe the eye smell with Kayla, just a good smell... The ear is kind of an ear-waxy smell, but not too much. Now that you guys think Im a weirdo... [

Kayla had a couple of pink toes that I had the pleasure of kissing a million times a day too... while I was smelling... [

Scout's smell like Frito's, and my mom's chihuahua do even more so.

I just took both dogs to the self-serve groomer (best idea EVER!) on Saturday and by Saturday night, Marlowe smelled like a Frito again. Conrad still smells like shampoo, but Marlowe's back to his Frito-y self.

Me too! Love those frito feet. I can't really smell them unless I put my nose right in his toes so if someone doesn't like the smell, it's easy to avoid it.[]

i thought i was insane! so did everyone else in my house...now i know i'm not the only one. i have been insisting berserkers feet smelled like salty corn chips forever, and just got stupid looks. i had never heard of this being so common, too funny [

I think it is way too funny though that we have so many folks that LOVE that smell on their dogs feet!

JJ's feet don't smell like fritos anymore...just for a couple days and now it is gone. He hasn't had a bath either. I do need to bathe him though becasue his legs smell like bully sticks from holding them when he eats them.[:'(] Now I don't think there is anyone in the world that likes the smell of bully stick feet and legs! [sm=lol.gif]

Yucko. . .I use wipes on Willow after Bully sticks. I've read it's not good for humans to not sanitize after handling one of those so I'm always worried she's going to have it on her and then someone is going to pet her. . .

LOL, me too! Cherokee's don't smell like fritos, but they do have a distinct smell that makes me want to bury my nose in them. They just smell like..Cherokee. But not smelly Cherokee, like the rest of her at the moment, and not perfectly clean Cherokee either. I don't know how to describe it. But I'm SURE I sound as wacko (probably MORE wacko) as my sister when she says her favorite smell is her 15 month old son when he hasn't had a bath in a few days. [

I noticed recently that Gingerbread's feet smell like fritos and I was wondering about it!

The quote you posted Dyan is very interesting! It seems like people misinterpreted it to say that dog's feet smell like that because of walking through urine? I think what they were saying about dogs hiking up their legs is that is when they noticed that urine has a popcorny/frito-y smell. THEN they came up with the theory below:

...Small traces of urea are excreted by sweat glands...

...which dogs only have in their feet...
