Stupid Fleas!!

  Well, unfortunately, in my experience, even if your dog is on flea meds, there's still a chance that he/she can get fleas, and they will still bite. The flea medication is just supposed to repel them most of the time, and kill them off if, in fact, your dog does wind up with them.  
  If you've got them around your house, I would do something quick, because they like to burrow in carpet and can reproduce quickly. You can buy flea powder at the pet store ( I like the Adams brand) to sprinkle all over your carpet, which has worked well for me in the past. I typically sprinkle it on and then use a broom to sweep over it so the bristles of the broom get the powder deep into the carpet. Let it sit for a couple of hours, and then vaccuum it up. I would also suggest washing your bedding in hot water as well. Good luck!!

Brewers yeast tablets are great. They are rich in VitB and also bitter the taste of blood so fleas don't bite. Also pick up some tea tree oil, mix about 15 drops in a litre of water and spray your baby plus furniture and bedding. Fleas hate it.
