Hi all. I am new to this forum, actually new to forums period. I have been searching online for an answer to my question and stumbled onto this website. What a great source of information you all have here! Here's my question: I have a 2 1/2 year old male rottie, Otis. Yesterday he woke up with a yellowish discharge from both his eyes. We cleaned it out, and his eyes didn't look different than usual. This morning he woke up with a reddish discharge and the whites of his eyes are reddish. He is not scratching at them, and seems to be in no discomfort at all. When we wiped away the mucus, he didn't even flinch. Is this conjunctivitis? I have tried to get him into our vet, but can't get him in until Mon, and since we live in a small town, there are no other vets available, even the "emergency" ones. It's very frustrating. Is there anything I can do temporarily? He has it in both his eyes now and we have another rottie, Tillman, and I don't want to have to keep them separated for too long. They are both very healthy and we have never had problems with them. Any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks all!
