Sorry to hear this.  Are you still using the Hills?  What about antihistamines?

I'm so sorry to hear this. Have you taken him to the vet for his neck; sounds like he may have a skin infection and need antibiotics to heal his neck. Does he have envirinmental allergies? Here's the pollen and mold counts for Newark New Jersey;     [linkhttp://www.aaaai.org/nab/index.cfm?p=allergenreport&stationid=70]http://www.aaaai.org/nab/index.cfm?p=allergenreport&stationid=70[/link] . If he's allergic to mold that's a big problem this time of year. Cathy's right; you need to try an antihistamine like Benedryl.

Vash has been on benadryl along with the hills RX diet. ultra allergen. I am going to take him to bvet b/c its time for his shots anyway but I am already in the process of making an appt. for the specialist. You think it may be nerves. He was doing a lil better during our vacation.. but we had to go back to work ..

;Please wait until he's completely well before he gets his shots. Jessie goes to a veterinary dermatologist; she's also a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at Purdue University. She advises her clients not to have thier dogs vaccinated until mid-winter when there isn't any pollen because she has seen a strong correlation between vaccinations and  dogs with allergies having flare ups shortly after they get vaccinated. In the fall of 2004, before Jessie started seeing the dermatologist, she had a rare and severe allergic reaction called an eisinophilic furunculosis; it required a trip to the e-vet; her head swelled and the skin on her nose and eyelids turned red and had pustules. It happened a few days after her vaccinations.
