Ear Infection?

    Ear Infection?

Hi everyone!  Dweezil had an ear infection a month ago (yeast, the dr. said), and then her scratching stopped for awhile (thank God, because putting those drops in was a nightmare).  I went to a different vet to have her spayed, and in the pre-anesthetic exam he checked her ears and said that it cleared up (i mentioned the infection to him).  I hadn't noticed that she had been scratching her ears but i've been noticing her the last couple of days walking then reach up with her front paw to flick her ear.  The vet checked her just Friday ... should I call vet already?  Or try maybe cleaning her ears with the ear cleaning solution?  Thank's everyone!

Even before I got Bubblegum, I saw the breeder putting drops in her ears at her house,,,I didn't think to ask why because at that point I didn't know if I was going to take her, and then forgot after. But I ended up with her a couple of weeks later and it took a few weeks of her being here when I noticed she was scratching at her ears and shaking her head now and then. When she was spayed I asked the vet to check her ears.  Then in the spring when I took her to her new vet for HW test and checkup, she said her ears did look infected and gave us medicine.  I noticed that if I keep her ears cleaned every week or so, she is alright, but if I get lax she tends to start scratching at her ears again.  Reminds me,  I better go clean her ears before she starts scratching again.

Sometimes yeast infections seem to take forever to go away. When we adopted Brown, one of his ears stayed infected for months. We cleaned, we medicated, and it never went away until I asked for a different medicine. Sometimes I think he shoveled dirt in his ear for fun. lol

In this case, I think I'd clean her ear to see what's in there. Did you smell her ear? Go ahead, sniff it lol. Does it smell funky?

Like Marlania said I would give it a good cleaning... I have had a lot of luck with this product [linkhttp://www.liquidhealthinc.com/prodInterior.php?prodID=32]http://www.liquidhealthinc.com/prodInterior.php?prodID=32[/link]  it really seems to keep yeast at bay!
