    Please Help Save Binkey

I have a very brave six year old cocker mix. She tried to help save my mother and I when we were attacked. She is a wonderful little girl, and just the sweetest thing you could imagine.

We recently discovered a tumor in her chest. It has gotten bigger in the past few weeks. My mother is recovering from a rare form of cancer herself, and we have very little money. We are on various charities just to survive.

I have set up a website in hopes of raising enough money to take her to the vet. Even if you cannot donate financially, would any of you find it in your hearts to say a prayer or hold a good thought for my poor little Binkey?

You can hear her whole story at this website**Link removed** You don't have to be a member to view it, but if you are, maybe you could add her to your friends list. All I can think is that the more attention I draw to it, the more of a chance I have to save her.

I know this is a long shot. All I know is that I promised her I would try every way I could to get her to the vet. If you have any suggestions, please share them. I'm in a desperate situation and all I can do is hope.

    Thank you,

    Liz

    Liz,
Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry to read about Binky. I've removed the link in your post as it is against forum rules to promote a site for gain, although a good cause, it is still gain. You can list the site in your profile and your signature like you have done.

There are many organizations that can help you financially take the lead is one organization you can contact.

Welcome to idog; I'm sorry to hear that your dog has a tumor. Have you discussed a payment plan with your vet? It sounds like you have very little income but you may be able to work something out; other members here have made payments for expensive procedures like surgeries. Some members have also done some work for the vet such as cleaning cages to pay them back.
You should send an e-mail to Callie ( her user name is calliecritturs) and ask about a cancer diet. She will be glad to tell you about it; all I really know is that dogs with cancer seem to do better on a low carb diet. Good luck and I hope you find the help you need for your pup; she has a very sweet face.
