He won't let me brush his teeth!!

I have a 7 week old puppy and his breath is really bad. I bought him a toothbrushing starter kit for pups, and i tried using it but he wont let me brush his teeth. I tried outting some of the toothpaste on my finger so he cant taste it and see that is not bad. But the minute i try brushing his teeth he begins to move his head away, and kicks my hand off. I need some tips!!! Please Help.

When I first started brushing Marley's teeth (as a puppy) I used a wash cloth instead of the toothbrush. When he was used to that I moved to the toothbrush. Hope that helps!

Start playing with his lips with your fingers and then slowly work to the point where your massaging his gums for a while until he doesn't mind you doing that. Also give him a few treats when he he behaving with this so he sees it's not a awful. Once he is allowing this then do as marleysmom said with the washcloth then to the
toothbrush.

Willow doesn't like to have the toothbrush in her mouth either. So, I use the tooth wipes. You can get them at Petco or any of the big stores. They work well and I've also recently started adding Wysong's Dentatreat to her food. That's worked great too.
