Chances are anytime you are eating something, your dog will be looking at you with those irresistible eyes hoping for some of your food as well. At times it can be pretty much impossible to resist giving your dog some of whatever you are eating at the time.

Some foods are perfectly safe for dogs to eat, while others can be highly toxic and deadly for your dog. Let's take a look at 8 common foods and if they are OK for dogs to eat as well.

Bacon

Bacon is one of life's great guilty pleasures. It is so delicious but of so bad for you at the same time. Loaded with saturated fats and salt bacon is very unhealthy for people and dogs as well.

Bananas

Bananas are a great source of vitamins and minerals, as well as being very low in sodium and fats. Naturally these makes them a mostly healthy food and safe for dogs to eat. The only real concern here is the high levels of sugar that bananas contain.

Apples

Apples are loaded with calcium, fiber and vitamins and make a great treat for dogs. Just be careful as the seeds contain tiny amount of cyanide that can have a cumulative effect on the dog over time.
