To be honest I'm not really sure. I think it would depend on the size of the dog. Best to read the instructions and I would talk to your vet as well just to be safe.

With herbs it completely depends on both the size of the dog and what else you give. It is hard on the dtomach (all nsaids are ... even herbal ones) . Tumeric can be helpful.
