    Dogs head shaking

    hi,

i am new to this website and I apologise if this thread  has come about before but I am looking for answers ASAP.

Today, my 4 yo bulldog x, was asleep and I was watching him. All of a sudden his head just started shaking up and down fairly fast for about 3 minutes non stop. (It looks scary). at this time he was awake and aware because I called him to me and he came. He went and had a drink and the shaking stopped. Then tonight he was asleep again and it started again but only for about 20 seconds until I walked out side and said his name. I've never seen him do this before. He is completely awake and aware the whole time.

He was in a accidental fight the other day (hence the purple spray on him) and since then he hasn't eaten for a few days now (Only eaten little bits here and there) Hence the weight of him. He also has had liver issues in the past (which brought him scarily close to liver failure) so he doesn't eat a lot generally anyway. Otherwise it makes him sick.

Also. Sorry for the dodgy start to the film, I had a dog in my way making me balance weird.

once these episodes stop he is completely normal, back to his old self.

    what could be causing this??

    :(

Hi Jade. First of all, welcome to the community! Can you send me the link to the video and I'll amend your post. You need to insert it the 'right' way and I know it's not always obvious how to upload video. We're working on making this easier, eventually!! Jonathan (Community/Social Director, DOG.com)

You should take him to the Vet.  It could be any number of neurological problems.  There isn't any way anyone, other than a Vet, can help you figure out what's going on.  Good luck.
