My my 7 yr old dachie is about 8 days from surgery and has developed a morning puke. It's yellow bile and once he has retched he seems fine. My vet prescribed Zantac which we started last night. This mornings bile was white/clear. Is this improvement? He also got me up at 400 to poop and pee??? Any thoughts?

Hi, not really sure, I would be safe and call your vet, it could be a reaction to the meds.

He might just have a bug that he needs to get rid of before surgery...... I would watch that and wait until he is fine. DId the vet prescribe Zantac because of puking or before he started?

The Zantac is really helping. This is the neatest thing just your few comments have really bolstered my heart. Thanks and Rusty says thanks too. His tummy is quiet there is no puke and last night he slept like a log!! Thanks again
