    Wart on my dog's Gums!

We just noticed that My 4 year old golden retriever has a big white round wart on his gums.  He seems to be eating and drinking fine and not in any pain.  Should I beconcerned?

looks like what is called a papilloma - but always worth a vet check in my opinion

Do you know if these go away on their own?  He is due for his yearly check up, I just wanted to hear if others had any experiences with this.

I agree, I would have a vet take a look just to be safe. It's easier to deal with an issue when its small than have it get out of hand and become a real problem.

A papilloma   usually would be on the gum itself rather than on the jowls -- I'd honestly have the vet check it.  Could be nothing.  Papillomas aren't serious -- they're viral usually (L-Lysine can help).   But any "change" like that always makes me want the vet to see it.
