Tips on setting up grooming area?

I'm not a professional groomer. Just an amateur but I have three Samoyeds. I've always bathed and groomed them myself.

My exciting news is that we are in the process of buying a new (old) house. My favorite part of this house is that it has a 10'x12' laundry room. Room enough for a real grooming area! We are going to take out the utility sink and put in an elevated grooming tub. The one I am planning to get is from Petlift. [linkhttp://www.petlift.com/catalog/web/dog_tubs.htm]http://www.petlift.com/catalog/web/dog_tubs.htm[/link]  The basic 48" version, model LE2448. It says 16 gauge 304 stainless steel. Anyone have any experience with these? I've seen some just a little bit cheaper that were made with only 20 gauge metal. I've also seen some with 14 gauge that were VERY expensive.

Also, any tips or input about hair traps? I know that would be a necessity with shedding Sammies, but have no experience with them.

We are also having a dedicated 20amp circuit installed for my K9II. [:D]  Another great thing, this laundry room opens directly to the backyard. Muddy dogs go straight to the tub to have their feet rinsed off!

    TIA

I would love to have a set up like that. The only spare room I have is in the basement and it's much too cold down there for me to do it.   When it's grooming day around here, takes me so long to get all set up, I would love to have a room just for grooming so I could keep the equiptment all set up.
I buy a lot of my grooming stuff from petedge. They also sell  petlift tubs. I don't know if they are any cheaper though. Here is a link to them if you want to compare.
