    GRRRRR

We were in Austin over the weekend for family get together.  All 3 of my brothers live in or near Austin and our sister and her youngest daughter flew down from North Carolina.  We were all out our youngest brothers.

Got up Sunday morning and my SIL was making eggs bacon, sausage, toast and pancakes.  Well, I saw she had her plate fixed and then she got another large plate and put a large pancake on it, slathered it with butter, poured syrup all over it, cut it up---AND PUT IT IN THEIR DOG'S FOOD PAN.  Their dog is an adopted mix, breeds unknown, ut she is about 50 pounds.  My sister's daughter, who loves dogs and has two herself said "You are giving Macy pancakes with butter and syrup on it?" and my SIL said 'Oh, she loves pancakes."

My brother had told me he had fussed and fussed at her for giving Macy so much people food.  I had told him she would end up killing Macy giving her so much juk , but she doesn't listen.  She is one of those ones that thinks she is doing "good" by giving the dog the stuff "she likes."   Don't get me wrong, my SIL is a loving, sweet person and we all love her to pieces.  It is just the fct she gives stuff like this to Macy that irks me. I knew it would not do any good for me to say anything so I just kept quiet.  When it comes to giving junk to Macy, she doesn't listen to anyone.  GRRRR

The grain in the flour is probably the biggest problem, and the sugar will pack weight on her.  The butter is no problem (dogs don't have "cholesterol" problems like we do -- just another reason why, if I believed in reincarnation I'd want to come back as one of my dogs ! LOL)

Good food is good food --but pancakes slathered with butter and syrup really aren't good for any of us.  My dogs get cooked food and have for years -- but I'm totally anal that it's balanced and digestible.

I just wish someone would put ONLY food in front of me that was the correct portion and only as much as I should eat!!

Glad you felt good enough to go Sandra!!

HA HA  I also need someone to put the correct food and the correct amounts in front of me.  Being diabetic, I do have to really watch what I eat and sometimes I eat stuff I know is wrong.  Also have high cholesterol.  and am anemic.  I do run into complications that what I need for one thing, I need to avoid for anoth3er.  gets to be a pain in the you know what.  I feed Honey Taste of the Wild grainless, but also cook up a little stew to mix in at night=--boil ground turkey with a bag of frozen green beans, or frozen peas and carrots (usually beans) and she loves it.  I did really shudder when I saw all that butter and sugar on top of that big pancakes when I found out she was giving it to Macy.
