• HELP!! My poodle swallowed part of a porkchop bone!! Tina Marie Wilson Posted : 10/20/2013 10:04:01 PM My toy poodle found a pork chop bone outside and I guess when she heard the neighbor dogs barking she downed it. When she immediately came in she sounded like her epiglottis was stuck but then she acted like she needed to throw up. Eventually she burped and is no longer laying in the kitchen but she isn't back to her bubbly self and I'm beginning to worry. Should I worry? Watch should I be watching for? Even if the pork chop passed through her throat area, it does not mean it did not get stuck or even punctured someplace else inside her. Not to be a worry wart, but she is a small dog so this is more likely. My dog's best friend (80lbs) swallowed a glove (less hard than a pork chop and less likely to puncture). In any event, it turns out, several days later the glove was actually stuck in the dog's insides and, well, the ending was not good as they could not save Euchre.
