Took Maze to the vet....

    Took Maze to the vet....

For the past 6 months or so I've been keeping an eye on a lump on Maze's chest... This past month it has grown quite a bit, to the point we can see it from a distance now. So I took her in today.. It concerned the vet due to the solidness and the fact that it is attached to the skin and muscle. I had it aspirated and had them collect a sample for testing. We know for sure that it is NOT a fatty tumor.. The center is crunchy and hard.  I have to wait til Friday to get the results but the vet said she'd call me as soon as they come in.  I plan on having the lump removed anyways, it's just a matter of when.

On a happier note, I never realized how stable my dog is... She is muzzle trained and has been known to snap when people touch her tail and her feet. I warned the vet about this and let her know about the training.. 10 minutes later (pure silence), vet comes back and it turns out Maze just laid there and let them stick a needle in her lump! LOL! My good girl! But doG help the tech when she tried to get Maze's temperature... That had to be done under her armpit..

((( hugs ))) Sending strong no cancer vibes for Maze! We've all been through this and it's impossible not to worry while waiting for the lab report.

LOL; guess Maze thought they were going to stick her again with a needle.

That and cleaning anal glands has to be attempted long ago in the bathtub with you and lots of treats and time LOL -- I mean ... do you BLAME Maze?? "You're gonna put that ... where???"

I am sorry you've got to worry your way thru the rest of it.  That is never, ever easy.  You've got my good thots and prayers!!

Maze woulda let her take the temperature the usual way if the tech hadn't touched her tail.. The moment her tail got touched, all bets were off.. LOL. But I am really impressed with how well she did today.

Sending good vibes that the lump is benign.

Waiting for results is so hard.  Fingers crossed that the biopsy shows nothing serious!

Prayers that everything turns out okay. Hugs for both of you.

Good thoughts coming from here, too. I hope the results are good and the lump is benign.
