For the past 6 months or so I've been keeping an eye on a lump on Maze's chest... This past month it has grown quite a bit, to the point we can see it from a distance now. So I took her in today.. It concerned the vet due to the solidness and the fact that it is attached to the skin and muscle. I had it aspirated and had them collect a sample for testing. We know for sure that it is NOT a fatty tumor.. The center is crunchy and hard. I have to wait til Friday to get the results but the vet said she'd call me as soon as they come in. I plan on having the lump removed anyways, it's just a matter of when.
On a happier note, I never realized how stable my dog is... She is muzzle trained and has been known to snap when people touch her tail and her feet. I warned the vet about this and let her know about the training.. 10 minutes later (pure silence), vet comes back and it turns out Maze just laid there and let them stick a needle in her lump! LOL! My good girl! But doG help the tech when she tried to get Maze's temperature... That had to be done under her armpit..
