I wish you were in my area, I'd be offering you referral discounts. [

]I opened a mobile grooming business the beginning of July (It's called No Place Like Home). I worked for another mobile groomer for a year (in a shop for 2 years before that) and decided I loved it so much I wanted to go out on my own.
For those of you that do have mobile groomers in your area, you might want to consider trying them out for a number of reasons.
Your dog is never put in a cage and never has a cage dryer blowing on them. Your dog is never out of the groomers site and always has the groomer right by its side for safety. There are no interuptions from phone calls or people walking in so your pet gets total attention. There are no other dogs in the van so your dog doesn't get stressed by being around other dogs who could be loud, or aggressive. Your dog gets completely hand dried, which means fluffier and softer in most cases. The dog is right outside your door and is usually less stressed. Its great for older dogs to. As far as convenience, you dont have to worry about loading your dog into the car, "accidents", "car sickness" etc.
Sorry, just had to plug. As a groomer, mobile grooming is absolutely wonderful! I get to give my total attention to one dog and do things to relax them that you couldn't do working with other people. I always sing to the dogs and talk to them to relax them. It seems to work....or else they're just looking at me wondering what the crazy lady is doing
