Wow that top video is almost scarey that those vets are actually promoting that the 3 year vax be given every 2 years to "promote" immunity. It was really good to see that they brought Dr. Schultz's video in to the article itself. I wish the TV article had made it a bit more clear that the reason they were interviewing that breeder was because she's trying to lead the fight against this -- it *almost* makes it sound like she was some authority. She's not ... she's just ticked off (and rightfully so, it looks like).
This is the first I've heard of a "2 year" protocol -- down here in Florida where some counties are annual the 1 vs. 3 year discussion occurs all the time (is a 1 year vaccine just a 3 year serum labelled as one year?). I know my own vet actually left a practice over this issue -- the owner vet was adamant he wanted all dogs vax'd annually but he used the 3 year serum but wouldn't tell owners it was a 3 year serum. My vet thought that was dishonest but the owner vet was convinced the most owners were too stupid to bring their dogs in annually so he used the 3 yr serum "in case".
I was astonished a vet would actually consider most owners THAT stupid and irresponsible but I heard it from him myself back when my vet was still at that practice. *sigh* I was thrilled when my vet left there!
