Vibes for strength for him and you, vibes for accuracy and excellent opinion and expertise for the vet(s).

    We're with you, Megan.

The vet called me about an hour ago. She said Wyatt was in a lot of pain, but did fine. She took out 3cm on each side, and went down to the fascia of the bicep. She said the incision looked pretty crazy...she had to make some extra incisions to stretch the skin, since the hunk was so large. She is confident she got all of the tumor out...now the wait will be about 3-5 days for the histo report. If he can walk around 2, I can go pick him up then. Otherwise, I'll be able to pick him up at about 4. I appreciate all the love Wyatt has gotten from you guys, means a lot!!

Continued thoughts and prayers for Wyatt and HUGS for you Meg!

I know the wait now will be so tough but it gives us all more time to pray and send good vibes your way.  (((Hugs))) for both of you.

I'm so sorry I missed this, but I'm thinking about you and Wyatt, and am hoping for a speedy recovery!

I missed this over the past week, so just catching up  now. I'm glad to hear he's out and that the vet thinks she got all of it. With Pepper, there was no option for surgery, it would have required removing her lungs.  Wishing you the best possible news.

Still holding positive thoughts for Wyatt!  It sounds like she really wanted to get as much as she could, so here's hoping for clean margins!!!

My big boy is home with me now. His smaller incisions that were placed to give the skin a little more stretch, started bleeding when he jumped in the car, but otherwise he's doing okay. He's very drugged, but wagging his tail and walking. He readily chewed two rimadyl, and took his tramadol rolled in a little nubbin of turkey. I put him in the 'dog room' so Kaiser and Josie wouldn't bother him. It's going to be difficult to keep them seperated for awhile. The vet said she's confident she got all of the tumor, now it's just waiting on the histo report. She said it should arrive in 3-5 days, and she'll call me as soon as she gets it.

Here's a pic of his battle wound

I'm so glad he's home and doing ok.  Fingers crossed on the histo report.  Give that handsome boy some kisses and scritches from one of his biggest fans.

That's one crazy looking incision but glad she feels she got everything.

Holy crap!  I'm sorry, I wanted to be strong for you, but I'm welled up with tears looking at that.  I can't imagine how you must be feeling - just know you have my support, and Wyatt has my love.

Awww sweet Wyatt...I hope she did get it all.   Calm vibes for you, the next several days might be difficult.  Healing vibes for Wyatt

Healing vibes for Wyatt, poor fella.

I sent you a PM but wanted to ask how they knew it was cancer after the aspiration? Did they send it off? Were they able to see cells that were definitively cancer?  Just curious.
