Jessie had her annual exam yesterday, and it went very well. Her heart and lungs"sounded great" (vet's words), there were no suspicious lumps, gums were healthy, etc. He called today with the results from her blood test and it was good too. All her values were within normal ranges except for lipase and amylase, which were slightly elevated because of her chronic pancreatitis. They're the lowest they've been since she was diagnosed almost 2 years ago, so we're very, very pleased. Not bad for a twelve year old, all things considered. The results from the titer won't be back for a few more days but my vet said it's unlikely that she'll need to be vaccinated.
So that was a great Valentine's Day present for me and DH. Jessie didn't appreciate the checkup of course, but we went for a nice long walk afterward, which is her most favorite thing of all.
