Ginger

Ginger can be a great digestive aid.  Just sprinkle some on his food (I'd build up rather than giving a whole capsule at once).  Most dogs like the taste of ginger.

Hi Callie!!!   How are you?  Thanks for answering. I figured if anyone...it would be you that knew.    Good idea.....I was just going to put a pill in some peanut butter for him.  Would one capsule be too much?

Gibby MIGHT not think its to distasteful...he does have his own bag of ginger snaps.  

Real ginger works great for motion sickness and stomach troubles.  I use Ginger Chews from Trader Joe's.  Willow does not like it at all so we stick to pepcid and yogurt for her. 

I use Ginger alot in my cooking.  My hubby doesnt know it :) but it does seem to help.  I also use ginger oil for my human bath and lotion.  It really helps in a hot bath when I am feeling achey.  I always tell my hubby "Ginger" makes the pain go away   Whether it be real or oil or me    

How interesting....thanks!  Only thing I ever used Ginger for in my life...is my cut out cookies that I make each year.  

Someone on facebook told me they give their dog ginger capsules every time they get sick. Good to know that too!

I have not tried it yet, either for me or for Gibby.

My mom used to give us the old fizzly VERNORS Ginger Ale when we were sick....but my doctor told me when my babies were small to give them COKE....stir the fizz out and let them sip it for an upset stomach.   So I have been doing that since.
