    thyroid problem

I asked for advice in August concerning our mixed breed and her thyroid problem. I just wanted to follow up and thank everyone who replied. She has improved and is back to herself. The trembling and instability did go away when the thryroid level became regulated and she can climb stairs, jump and run. We did run additional blood work to check for additional problems, but at this point everything is normal.

Thjis si good.  I hve had two golden retrievers with low thyroid---full brothers, different litters.  Scooter was diagnosed just about the time he turned 4 and he had all the classic syptoms, but in short order, meds and weight loss deit and he was his old self.

Buck was 10 when diagnosed.  He ahd no symptoms at all and his was only caught by pre dental full blood panel---and his level was lower than Scooter's had been.  He wa on 1 1/2 times the dosage of soloxine as Scooter.  And since he never showed any stymptoms, I can't see he "improved." but hsi blood work did show normla.

I also have low thryoid and I know how miserable it is when it is low.  Before being diagnosed I wa sleeping 12-16 hours a day, no energy, hair getting thin.  So I certainly understand how dogs can fee.
