    Self- washing place...

Took Tootsie today for a wash, blowdry, nail trim, ear clean for $13.00. Why oh why was I going to the groomers? There I paid $35.00 with a $5.00 tip. The best part, I don't have to clean it up either!

I took Mick down the road a couple of times.  Cost me $10 each time, but was money well spent- using her raised tub with a grate in the bottom was much easier on poor old Mick than putting him in our bathtub because he could lay(not to mention easier on my back! ;).  Plus, she had much better water pressure than we did, so the whole thing was quick.

I contemplated getting one for a while. We own a carwash and they are quite commonly paired up. There isn't one in town but I think we need one for sure. I mean, to take Crusher to the groomers it would cost me $80-$100 and a little less for Onyx so even if it cost about 20 or so per dog, it would be well worth the money. And around here, most people have big dogs, which I think is the major target market for these things.

You should totally do it, Jezabel! Then you can have lots of fun blowing out your own dogs, LOL. I saw a special on them, and they look like they'd be ridiculously profitable, once they paid themselves off.

We take Aesop to one when he really needs a bath, but we don't want to clean up the hair at home. It's $10 for him.  If I had him done at a groomer's it would be $85 just for a bath and dryIndifferent  Sometimes $10 is worth the lack of cleanup for me at home, as well

Wow that's a really good price! I've been wanting to take Simba to one of those nearby if not only for the socialization.

The one we go to is at Petco.  One groomer there loves Aesop. She always comes to love on him when we do the self wash thing (if she's there) or will come out to give him loves if she sees him in the store :)   It's kind of nice because, even if it's been months since she's seen him, she always remembers his name and gives him love

    socialization.

For a young pup like Simba, it'd be great for socialization. Tootsie who is 6 has come to know that it's definitely not social hour, but bath time.

Ours is $10 for dogs over 50lb.  It's a good deal.  It's at the pet store and there are three private rooms.  You can pick from dozens of shampoos, conditioners, brushes, etc.  They have a large professional tub and the high velocity blow dryer.  I love not having to clean up!  But I do usually rinse the tub and the mat and pull the hair out and wash whatever supplies and apron I use.

I totally would if I had about 7 grand to spare ATM...
